Modern applicant tracking systems help overwhelmed businesses hire great talent. Are they perfect? No, but hiring is imperfect. This software helps the people tasked with hiring do their best and deliver results.

    Has anybody found an advocate of Applicant Tracking Systems other than the software companies that profit from them and the HR departments who can take the “human” out of “human resources” and their job as mindless as possible? I doubt it.

    And ATS’s are perfect for performing age discrimination by making graduation dates the basis for eliminating older employees. I will be delighted when somebody creates software capable of submitting millions of fabricated resumes for fictitious candidates that sneak through the arbitrary filters of ATS’s, and cause the ATSs to choke over the volume and crash.
